One of the 26 female athletes who have participated in more than 200 international competitions is she. She competed for the Netherlands at the 2017 UEFA European Women’s Championship. Her more than 209 caps, as of this writing, are also the most for the Netherlands, male or female. She was chosen for the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-American team, the All-District 4 First Team, and the All-SEC Second Team during her last campaign with the Crimson Tide. She represented the Oranjevrouwen at the FIFA Women’s World Cups in 2015 and 2019, when they came in second to the USA. She has managed to convince the Netherlands coach why she has to be part of the Netherlands team to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Interestingly, she has also come out publicly to declare that she is gay and voice her support to the LGBTQ community.

13. Inessa Kaagman

Inessa Kaagman, a midfielder for Eredivisie club PSV and the Netherlands national team, was born in the Netherlands on April 17, 1996. Kaagman initially represented the U15s in youth competition for the Netherlands. In order to represent the U17s in the 2012–2013 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championships, she earned nine caps. Kaagman scored once (against Belgium in the group stage) while playing for the Dutch team that won the 2014 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship in Norway in July 2014. Despite scoring three goals in the qualifiers, they were unable to advance to the 2015 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship. Kaagman. In August 2018, Kaagman was called up to the senior team for a World Cup qualifying match against Norway but didn’t play.

On January 19, 2019, Kaagman played in front of 27,000 spectators in front of her maiden senior international match against South Africa at the Cape Town Stadium. Sarina Wiegman, her manager, chose her for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Jill Jamie Roord, a midfielder for the Netherlands national team and Frauen-Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg, was born in the Netherlands on April 22, 1997. She formerly competed for Arsenal in the English Women’s Super League, Bayern Munich in the German Frauen-Bundesliga, and FC Twente in the top Dutch league, where she won several Dutch national championships. She led the league in scoring during the 2015–16 Eredivisie season.

She played for the Netherlands in their successful UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 campaign in 2017 and, at the age of 22, participated in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. We will definately be seeing her taking the field in the upcoming World Cup in Australia.

15. Renate Jansen

A striker for Eredivisie club Twente and the Netherlands national team, Renate Jansen was born in the Netherlands on December 7, 1990. In her hometown of Abbenes, she began her career with the SV Abbenes youth teams. She began participating in the VV Kagia B1 (boys team) in Lisserbroek in 2005. She left the club in 2007 and joined Ter Leede before eventually joining HvA. She signed with Eredivisie team ADO Den Haag in the summer of 2008.

Jansen debuted for the Netherlands against Slovakia on April 1, 2010. Her big break into a major tournament came soon after when she was selected for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017,[11] where she played four matches and entered as a substitute in the tournament that the Dutch won. Prior to being selected for the 2017 Algarve Cup, she participated in training camps with the national team and played in friendlies. She is part of the national team that will be hoping to win the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia.
