The CNN Studio Tours guides guests through an insider’s view of CNN, Headline News and CNN international. This tour enables visitors to see how breaking news is reported to over one hundred and eighty million households across the world.

CNN Studio Tours takes forty minutes with the guide which operates seven days a week from 9 AM to 6 PM. The CNN Studio Tour is located in the CNN Centre at the corner of Techwood Drive and Marietta Street in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

Across the street from the CNN Studio Tour are the Omni Coliseum, The Georgia Dome, The Georgia World Congress Centre, Underground Atlanta, The World of Coca Cola and the Hard Rock Cafe. The tour also has a VIP tour.

Visitors learn how CNN makes images, like weather maps that appear behind the anchors and other correspondents. Some of these demonstrations include the Teleprompter demonstration and a Chroma-key demonstration.

The Teleprompter demonstration shows how the anchors manage to keep looking directly at the audience. Chroma-key demonstration shows the use of a blue screen as opposed to having the weather anchor stand in front of an actual map.

At this stop, visitors get an overhead view of the CNN Headline News Newsroom floor which is very different from the other rooms. On this floor, the news that is broadcasted here is different from the one on the other floors.
